
Vehicle trespass. On Nov. 5, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the 700 block of Mercury Circle, where a man believed he left his car unlocked and several items, including a laptop, digital camera and work badges, were missing.
Missing check. On Nov. 4, a deputy was dispatched to the 6900 block of North Yucca Trail, where a man noticed mail missing when his accountant reported missing financial documents. No one had cashed the checks but they were canceled by the bank.
Stolen wallet. On Nov. 4, a deputy was dispatched to 24 Hour Fitness, 6830 E. County Line Road, where a man had set his wallet down in the bathroom to wash his hands and realized later he hadn’t picked it up and it was stolen. There was no suspicious activity on his cards when he canceled them.
Breakfast of champions. On Oct. 29, a deputy responded to Center 4 Champions, 2680 E. County Line Road, where someone had thrown a softball-sized rock through the window of the business. The owner said no one was mad at him to his knowledge.
Identity theft. On Oct. 28, a deputy responded to the 0-100 block of Castle Pine Drive North, where a woman said she got a call from her banker saying someone was trying to use her information to transfer money. The banker knew it wasn’t really the woman and forwarded the incident to their fraud department.
Take the beer and run. On Oct. 28, a deputy responded to Circle K, 975 Broadway, where a few days before a young man had stolen a 12-pack of beer.
