
Illegal shortcut. Residents in the 5900 block of Newport Street called police on Nov. 11 about a man who was wandering in their yard. The man told police he was trying to take a shortcut to the house next door. He was arrested.
Change thieves. An employee of the Tap-A-Keg at 7002 Highway 2 called police On Nov. 11 after two women stole money from the counter. Police watched the surveillance video of one of the suspects distracting the employee and grabbing a donation jar full of change.
Identity sapped through spam. A woman called police to her home on Nov. 9 in the 2200 block of East 107th Avenue after she gave out her personal information and credit card number. The victim said she received an e-mail to update her billing information from an online shopping site she often uses.
False return. A loss prevention employee at Kohl’s on 12090 Colorado Blvd. called police on Nov. 6 after he watched two customers select merchandise and then return it at the customer service desk immediately after. They were both given a summons.
Unwanted guest. Police were called to the Target at 1001 E. 120th Ave. on Nov. 5 after security spotted a woman who has been banned from the store. They gave her a warning not to come back.
Automatic arrest. Police responded to the Bradley’s gas station on 3905 E. 120th Ave. on Nov. 2 after a customer claimed the clerk refused to sell him gasoline. Officers realized the customer had been drinking, so they told him to call a ride. The customer apparently swung his fist at an officer, and was arrested.
