AURORA, Colo.—Aurora has joined an effort to quickly find drivers involved in hit-and-run accidents.

The city is participating in the so-called “Medina Alert Program.” Alerts are sent out so everyone can be on the lookout for a hit-an-run driver.

According to KCNC-TV ( ), the alert has already been a success in Denver. It’s named after Jose Medina, a parking valet killed in a hit-and-run in 2011.
