Through Dec. 31. Miniature paintings are harder to make than most people think. The work is delicate and tedious and requires a skilled hand. But in the end, a painter makes something smaller than life, and it can be a treasure (and often affordable, too). Evergreen Fine Art celebrate the process every December by assembling the best work it can find. The subject matter is completely open, landscapes, portraits, whatever, but size is strictly limited to 120 square inches. “Miniature Masterpieces” features a variety of artists from across the country, including such Colorado names as Michael Ome Untiedt, Edward Aldrich, Quang Ho, Nikolo Balkanski and Lindsey Bittner-Graham. There’s an opening reception at 5 p.m. Nov. 22, and the show runs through the end of the year. Evergreen Fine Art, 3042 Evergreen Parkway. Free. 303-679-3610 or .
