Hop a train to the North Pole
Ride the Santa Express Train through Colorado’s Royal Gorge until Dec. 26. Hot cocoa and cookies are served on the way to the North Pole, aboard a train decorated like a Christmas town. Trains depart promptly at noon and 6 p.m. Tickets begin at $25 for children and $35 for adults.
Night of Lights in Gunnison
Gunnison’s Night of Lights is Dec. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. Lighted displays, bonfires for roasting marshmallows, hot cocoa and live entertainment fill downtown Gunnison. Santa joins the celebration at 6:30 p.m.
Holidays in Georgetown
The Georgetown Christmas Market is Dec. 7-15. The market includes roasted chestnuts, horse-drawn wagon rides, appearances by St. Nicholas and the Santa Lucia Carolers.
Open House at Anderson Ranch
The Anderson Ranch Annual Holiday Open House is Dec. 17 in Snowmass Village and includes childrens activities, open studios, a live auction and a holiday dinner. Must RSVP by Dec. 14. Ticket prices vary.
