Give thanks for savings

The Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art has discounted its entire inventory (minus fine-art consignments) 20 percent off as part of a Thanksgiving Weekend Sale 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 29 through Dec. 1. Museumgoers will find art books, furniture, pottery, jewelry and accessories made solely for the gift shop. New to the inventory is jigsaw puzzles of Vance Kirkland paintings. The Snowy Owl (left) was one of Kirkland’s works that was made into a 500-piece puzzle. (Kirkland would tear up all of his wildlife paintings because he didn’t want to be regarded as a wildlife painter. The owl watercolor is from 1943 and was found behind a bookcase after his death). Sale prices apply in-store and online (use code Thanks 13). Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. 1311 Pearl St., 303-832-8576,
