Car ransacked. On Nov. 19, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the 13100 block of Deneb Drive, where a woman reported someone broke into her car and ransacked it, including the glove box, but did not steal anything. The doors were left unlocked.

Garage opener stolen. On Nov. 19, a deputy responded to Chase Bank, 9350S University Blvd., where a man reported someone got into his unlocked car and stole his garage door opener. He was advised to change the code on his garage.

iPod stolen. On Nov. 19, a deputy responded to the 100 block Olympus Circle, where someone had broken into a man’s car and stolen his 160-gigabyte iPod and rifled through the car’s contents. The car had apparently not locked on its own as it usually does.

Bad check. On Nov. 18, a deputy responded to Ace Hardware, 9579 S University Blvd., where a man had bought $583 worth of tools but used a bad check to pay for them. The clerk was able to snap a photo of the man. The bank said it had no clients that matched the name.

Suspicious person. On Nov. 8, Parker police responded to the Post Office at 18695 Pony Express, where a man was reported for parking in the employee lot. It was discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest out of Florida.

Bad dog. On Nov. 6, Parker police were dispatched to the 11000 block of Gilcrest Street, where a large black dog had attacked a woman’s dog, requiring care at a veterinarian’s office. The dog’s owner was identified and the owner was cited for having a vicious dog, a dog running at large and rabies control.
