The Denver Zoo has a new addition.
A male gerenuk, named Stitch, was born at the zoo on Nov. 17, officials announced Wednesday.
A gerenuk is a small antelope from semiarid areas of eastern Africa.
The Somali name means giraffe-necked. Adults are 3 feet tall at the shoulder with long, thin necks.
The animals stand on their hind legs to reach food from tree limbs.
