Thornton police are asking the community for help in locating a man suspected of stealing cars from people who let him into their home when he asks to use their phone.
Damien Dahmer, and a female suspect, allegedly steal cars from single elderly female victims who live alone in the Redwood Estates Manufactured Home Community at 9595 N. Pecos Street, according to a Wednesday news release from police.
The couple tell the victim their car broke down and ask to use the phone. Once inside the home, the suspects take keys and steal the victim’s car, according to the release.
There have been two incidents in November, according to police.
