The Broncos’ produced the team’s largest local audience of the season. According to Nielsen figures, the game (2:25-5:50 p.m.) registered an overall 78.3 audience share — meaning that nearly 80 percent of Denver-area TV homes watching television were viewing the game. That figure translates into more than 1.35 million viewers.
According to Nielsen, the high-water viewing mark was from 5:15-5:30 p.m. with an 81 share. The season’s previous local high audience share was a 75.2 — the Broncos-Chiefs prime-time NBC game aired on Nov. 17.
