Aspen is hopping between Christmas and New Year’s and one of the highlights of the season is This year’s event at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 28 at the St. Regis Resort will feature as the title sponsor and entertainment by Rufus Wainwright. Loro Piana, the Italian luxury goods company with Colorado stores in Denver, Vail and Aspen, will set up vignettes featuring its apparel, accessories and home items and is donating a chinchilla blanket for the benefit’s live auction. “Aspen has always been incredibly receptive to Loro Piana, and our partnership with the museum reflects many of our shared values and aesthetics,” said Sergio Loro Piana, CEO and co-chairman of the company. Tickets to the gala start at $200 for museum members and go up to $10,000 for a “platinum” table. Loro Piana will also have a Dec. 27 in-store event, 316 S. Galena St., Aspen.
