Interview with Tamara Brink, co-owner

How did you get involved in this business?

We started selling our handmade-from-scratch sweet pies at local farmers markets and were overwhelmed by the wonderful feedback we were receiving. We decided to open up a brick-and-mortar shop last October in the wonderful, historic Baker neighborhood.

What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

We specialize in creating delicious, handmade-from-scratch sweet and savory pies. Our tasty pies are made daily and contain no additives or preservatives.

What do you like best about your line of work?

We love creating new pie types, feeding people delicious pie and meeting new friends.

What is your business’ biggest challenge?

We’ve grown quite fast for being open only a year. Learning how to keep up with the demand of local pie-eaters has been a bit challenging, but we seem to be figuring it out. We really love Denver and really appreciate all of the local support we’ve received.

Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

In the last year, we’ve baked more than 53,000 pies. That’s a lot of pie.
