is taking time to remind folks about “Stories Don’t End” and that 2013 was a noteworthy year for the alt-country band. The SoCal crooners brought their signature breezy sound to the Conan stage on Tuesday. Dawes vocalist Taylor Goldsmith soothed the late night crowd with his dreamy, smooth vocal delivery. New album aside, this year saw the Dawes rub elbows with CCR’s John Fogerty and nab a guest spot on a Christmas song by in a video with Owen Wilson and Harry Dean Stanton. The “ba humbug” Christmas tune called “Christmas In L.A.” the musicians lament about the perils of celebrating the snowy holiday in the land of sand and sun whilst imbibing in solitude.
