Pocket accessories. Police responded to the Walmart at 1530 N. Tower Road after a loss prevention employee saw two boys stuffing cellphone cases into their pockets on Dec. 2. The employee stopped the two after they paid for a bag of candy and tried to leave. They were ticketed.

Beer thieves. A man called police to his home in the 23700 block of East Alabama Drive on Dec. 2 after someone took advantage of his unlocked car in his open garage. The man’s wife’s purse, a bag of tools and a case of homebrewed beer was stolen.

Easy access. A man who lives in the 1500 block of South Buchanon Circle called police on Dec. 2 after he noticed his Global Positioning System was ripped from the dashboard of his truck. The man said his laptop was also taken, and that he left the car unlocked overnight.

Raining Coronas. A woman called police on Dec. 1 because her neighbors were throwing empty Corona bottles off their balcony in the 100 block of Sable Boulevard, and one of them shattered on her car. An officer went to the suspected residence of the bottle launchers and issued a ticket.

Driveway robbery. Police were called to the 16600 block of East Louisiana Drive when a man noticed that all four tire rims were stolen from his car while it was parked next to his house on Dec. 1. The passenger door handle was smashed, but no one got into the car.

Plate bandit. A woman called police on Nov. 29 after her license plate was taken from her car while it was parked in front of her home in the 17900 block of East Milan Place.
