Through Dec. 31. A couple of weeks ago we highlighted the biggest, most unusual “Nutcracker” productions along the Front Range, but some of the best are just getting started. Dawson/Wallace Dance Project, one of Denver’s most artistically vital companies, premieres its contemporary version this weekend, with shows Dec. 14-15 and 21-23 at the Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. Allison Parkway. (Various times, $25-$38, ). Wonderbound’s version, which includes students from the Colorado Conservatory of Dance and choreography from acclaimed artistic director Garrett Ammon, also premieres this weekend and runs Dec. 14-15 and 21-22 at the Performing Arts Complex at Pinnacle Charter School, 1001 W. 84th Avenue ($22-$49, ).
