Light up Alamosa
Alamosa’s Parade of Lights will be Dec. 20. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the annual Alamosa Lights Parade will march downtown on Main Street and feature bicycles, cars and floats lit up in Christmas lights.
Artisans’ market
Durango’s Winter Solstice Artisans’ Market runs through Dec. 22. Crafts and art are for sale from more than 50 local and regional artists, including photography, ornaments and jewelry. Celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival on Dec. 21 with live music, hot chocolate and hot cider at the market.
Trinidad Mercado
Trinidad’s Christmas Mercado is open through Dec. 28. and features holiday gifts such as crafts and fine art for any budget. The Mercado is open Tues.-Fri. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Torchlight parade
Snowmass Village holds its annual torchlight parade and fireworks show on Dec. 28. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the torchlight parade lights up the ski trails on the slopes, followed by fireworks at 6:30 p.m.
Burton Mountain fest
Copper Mountain hosts the Burton Mountain Festival Jan. 3-5. Try out new Burton gear for free, participate in an amateur snowboard contest, listen to live music and snag product giveaways.
Week-long snow fest
Ullr Fest in Breckenridge is Jan. 5-11. This week of snow celebration includes a parade on Main Street, the Ullympics, the Ullr Dating Game, an ice skating party, comedy night and music.
