Topping our picks of best Colorado shows this week are Tig Notaro, You Me & Apollo and more.

3) Patterson Hood — Dec. 13 and 14, Larimer Lounge

Colorado has seen its fair share of the Drive-By Truckers this year. The guys have stopped by as a full band and on their own respective solo tours throughout 2013 in the Denver and Boulder area. This week, Drive-By Truckers’ co-founder Patterson Hood stops by for two shows at the Larimer Lounge in support of his 2012 album “Heat Lightning Rumbles in the Distance.” His third solo album, “Heat Lighting” is a pensive and introspective exploration of Americana rock. Hood performs at the Larimer Lounge on Dec. 13 and 14. ($20-$25, larimer-lounge.com)

2) Tig Notaro — Dec. 13, Boulder Theater

The dead-pan Tig Notaro has been cracking up indie-comedy crowds with stories of Taylor Dayne, pushing stools and more for quite some time, before finally getting noticed. With a slew of comedy albums and appearances on late night TV, Notaro has had a prolific career and has always seemed to be on the cusp of breaking big. But part of her charm is that she has maintained her indie sensibility. In support of her newest album “Live,” — which received a Grammy nomination for best comedy album — Notaro will perform at the Boulder Theater on Dec. 13. ($20-$25, bouldertheater.com)

1) You Me & Apollo — Dec. 13, Aggie Theatre

You Me & Apollo returns to its home town of Fort Collins on Friday to play a show at the Aggie Theatre. The band has been on the up-and-coming this year, spending time out of the state and playing a number of high-profile Colorado shows. The indie-rock band has an organic, Americana feel with more young and urban sensibilities. You Me & Apollo plays the Aggie Theatre on Dec. 13 with Denver indie-pop act Shady Elders.
