ASPEN, Colo.—A Carbondale construction company has been cited for cutting into the city of Aspen’s water supply without permission, potentially compromising water quality.
Savage Excavation received an 18-month suspended sentence on Wednesday in municipal court.
According to the Aspen Daily News ( ), a property manager hired the company to install a new fire hydrant to protect three homes, and the city water supply was improperly used to help provide water.
A company official has apologized and paid a $150 fee for court costs.
