FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A woman who was denied a medical marijuana dispensary license after she was convicted for prostitution is suing Fort Collins claiming the intended sex act was a Hindu religious activity.

The lawsuit disputes the city’s finding that Melody Kenyon lacks the “good moral character” required by Colorado law to operate a marijuana store. The woman’s lawsuit filed earlier this month describes the case of soliciting prostitution as a misunderstanding.

According to the Fort Collins Coloradoan ( ), an undercover agent with Omaha Police Department arranged through an escort website last year to meet Kenyon and paid her $120 before she offered sex to help him with his bodily infirmities.
