Dec 31. Who says the kids have to stay up until midnight to ring in 2014 with a raging party? Not the folks at the Children’s Museum of Denver, which will host its annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration on Dec. 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Art projects, musical entertainment, story times with Lars the Polar Bear, and plenty of confetti and ball drops throughout the day. Members and kids under 1 year can party for free; everyone else can participate for $7 or $9. Rides on Vern’s Mini Train will set you back an extra two bucks. Wear out the rugrats so you can celebrate New Year’s Eve later. That is, if you’re still awake. 2121 Children’s Museum Drive, 303-433-7444.
