Unlocked doors. After she realized all of her jewelry was missing, a woman called police on Dec. 18 to report that her house had been robbed. The victim said her brother likely left the front door to their home in the 11900 block of Tennessee Avenue unlocked.
Slashed tire. A woman went to police to report that her tire was slashed while her car was parked in front of her home in the 15400 block of East Evans Avenue. She said it must have happened in the few hours she was asleep on Dec. 18. There are no suspects.
Unauthorized shopping spree. Police were called to the 10700 block of East Alameda Avenue on Dec. 16 after a woman’s debit card was fraudulently charged. The woman said her card was not physically stolen, but someone was racking up fake charges with it.
Colleague theft. A woman went to police on Dec. 15 to report that her wallet was missing from her purse. She said she left her purse at a restaurant located inside her office building in the 14400 block of East Iliff Avenue. When she returned, the wallet was gone.
Coffee fix. Two baristas from the Starbucks at 3128 S. Parker Road called police on Dec. 11 after they realized the drive-through window was smashed. Officers found muddy footprints on the window sill. The employees said no money or merchandise was missing.
Beer run. A cashier at Harry’s Liquors at 9508 E. Colfax Ave. called police after a man came into the store and stole a pack of beer on Dec. 10. The employee showed the officer a security recording of the suspect leaving the store without paying for the Miller High Life.
