CARBONDALE, Colo.—Carbondale town trustees are considering an energy tax or utility fee to encourage residents to use alternative energy sources and conserve power.
According to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent ( ), the town plans to spend about $115,000 on energy-related programs next year.
Some opponents of the plan say the town should seek donations before forcing residents to pay for the programs.
