Two men allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint inside a vehicle after giving the victim a ride, investigators said.
The suspects were identified by the victim who saw the license plate of the vehicle as it drove away, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
The pair have been identified as Kasey J. Hill, 27, of Silverthorne, and Bryan K. Orr, 26, of Frisco, according to a sheriff’s office media release. They both face felony aggravated robbery charges.
The sheriff’s office said about 11 p.m. Thursday a man flagged down a vehicle with two men inside it in Breckenridge and asked for a ride to a friend’s house in the Blue River area.
South of Breckenridge the driver stopped and “pulled out a handgun and demanded the victim’s identification and other items,” the sheriff’s office said.
After the victim complied, the suspects drove him back to Breckenridge and dropped him off on south Main Street. The victim “was able to get the license plate number” and called 911 for help.
The suspects were stopped driving north on Colorado 9 by Frisco police who found multiple weapons in the vehicle.
Bond for both suspects was set at $10,000. Hill posted bond on Friday and Orr remains in custody.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
