
“I hid the body.” Police received a report of a suspicious phone call Dec. 15. A woman had received a text message at 5:55 a.m. saying “I hid the body … Now what?” The woman did not recognize the number and was concerned the message might be real. After an Internet search, though, police determined it was likely a prank.
Beat goes on. Arvada police were called to the 8800 block of 54th Place on Dec. 18 for a disturbance. According to the resident, his neighbor repeatedly had been playing music so loud it could be heard through the walls just to antagonize him after he complained to their landlord about her parking. The woman was not at home when police attempted to contact her, but her music, police said, could be heard clearly through the wall.
BB blast. Police responded to the 6200 block of Pierce Street on Dec. 17 after a resident reported damage to the front glass door of his home. Officers noted a 2-centimeter round hole in the glass consistent with a BB-type projectile. There were no suspects.
Missing bike. A man contacted police Dec. 15 to report the theft of his bicycle on the 6000 block of Wadsworth Boulevard. The man, who is homeless, was visiting a friend in the area when he realized his bike was gone. The bike was described as light blue and worth $450.
Menacing man. Police responded to the 6100 block of Ralston Road on Dec. 14 after a construction worker said a man driving a blue Blazer flashed a gun at him. The worker had confronted the man after seeing him inside one of his co-worker’s vehicles. The Blazer could not be located.
