A Colorado man died in a weekend traffic incident in Florida.
Gary Carter, 53, of Highlands Ranch, died Sunday after being hit by a car in Cocoa Beach, Fla., according to the Brevard County Office of the Medical Examiner. Cocoa Beach police said he died at the scene.
Carter died of trauma suffered in a traffic incident, which happened about 12:55 a.m. at the intersection of North Atlantic Avenue and Palm Lane, Cocoa Beach, the coroner’s office said.
Carter was a pedestrian when the incident occurred.
The incident is under investigation by Cocoa Beach police.
