DENVER—Authorities have released the name of a man who was fatally shot by police during a chase in the Denver suburb of Arvada.
Police were called early Saturday after a group of people in a car said they were shot at from a vehicle that had been following them after an argument at a Westminster bar.
Police spokeswoman Jill McGranahan says officers spotted the two suspects and eventually followed them down a dead-end road. The officers opened fire when the driver tried to ram them head-on with his car before fleeing.
The Denver Post reports ( ) the suspects’ vehicle was found a short time later, and the driver, identified as 23-year-old Maksim Khamov, was arrested without incident. The other man, identified as 23-year-old Igor Skolev, was found dead.
