Party’s on in Winter Park
Winter Park’s Winter Carnival and Mary Jane’s Birthday Bash is Jan. 25-26. This two-day party includes a silent auction, live music, a snow-sculpture contest, a cross-county ski and snowshoe race, fireworks and a parade on Main Street.
5-day fest in Durango
Jan. 29-Feb. 2 is Snowdown, Durango’s annual mid-winter party. This five-day celebration includes a costume ball, a beard contest, a street parade, a mini golf course and more. This year’s Snowdown theme is “Safari So Good.”
Chocolate Fantasia fest
Durango’s 28th annual Chocolate Fantasia festival is Feb. 7. Held at the LaPlata County Fairgrounds, the festival features more than 200 chocolate delicacies from local restaurants and amateur chefs. This year’s theme is “Chocolate du Paris.”
Go ahead, indulge
Feb. 16 is Colorado Springs’ Colorado Indulgence Festival. This afternoon extravaganza involves tastings of wine, spirits and beer, as well as chocolate, fudge, gourmet caramels, truffles and more from award-winning pastry chefs. Ticket prices begin at $70.
