ASPEN — A male skier died Saturday after colliding with a tree on the lower Bellisimo run on Aspen Mountain.
Authorities identified the man as Jonathan Stuart, a 56 -year -old Aspen resident.
Stuart was spotted off the side of the trail by a passing skier, who then called the Ski Patrol at 2:42 p.m. The Ski Patrol responded immediately, but the man was unconscious and unresponsive.
