
Laptop stolen from Rent-A-Center. On Jan. 9, the manager of Rent-A-Center, 1931 Sheridan Blvd., reported that a laptop valued at about $1,500 was stolen by a male suspect. Edgewater police have no leads.
Honda stolen from King Soopers parking lot. On Jan. 8, a 1995 tan Honda was stolen from the King Soopers parking lot at 1725 Sheridan Blvd. Edgewater police report no suspects.
Business vandalized. On Jan. 7, a Lakewood man reported a rock was thrown through the window of his business storefront, on the 5400 block of West Cedar Avenue, during the night. He estimates the damage to be $500. There are no suspects.
Arrested on warrants. On Jan. 7, Edgewater officers responded to the 6800 block of West 24th Avenue regarding an unwanted party at a residence. A 23-year-old Denver man was arrested on a warrant for criminal impersonation and another for failure to appear on a theft charge.
He came in through the living room window. Lakewood police responded to a residence on the 1200 block of Yukon Street on Jan. 6 in reference to domestic violence. The ex-boyfriend of the woman resident entered the house through a living room window while the woman and her current boyfriend were in the bedroom, and a child slept in the next room. The ex walked into the bedroom and began punching and scratching the boyfriend. He then slapped the woman across the face. The woman then called 911, at which point the ex fled the house. He was later arrested for second- and third-degree assault.
