DENVER—An endangered leopard cub is now on view for Denver Zoo visitors, six weeks after his birth.
The zoo said Thursday the the cub is named Sochi (SO’-shee), after the Russian city hosting this year’s Winter Olympics.
Sochi is an Amur (ah-MOOR’) leopard. The zoo says his species is critically endangered.
He’s the 10th Amur leopard born at the zoo since 1989.
