The official kickoff for the effort to secure Denver as the site of the 2016 Republican National Convention begins Friday at the Brown Palace.
Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper, former U.S. Sen. Hank Brown, a Republican, and other bold-faced names from both sides of the aisle will be present, organizers said. Former Congressman Bob Beauprez, a Republican, is chairing the effort.
