
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock is staking green chile and skis on the Broncos in Sunday’s AFC championship. Boston Mayor Martin Walsh is betting a stack of library books and chocolates on the Patriots.
Hancock is also wagering a hoodie, ball cap and skis made by Denver’s own Icelantic Skis.
Hancock’s wager on the big game includes a hoodie, ball cap and skis from Icelantic Skis. Walsh’s bet is a library donation of books by Boston authors and turtle candies from his city’s oldest chocolatier, Phillips Chocolates.
The two agreed to terms during a phone call Thursday afternoon, .
“Congratulations on your election and welcome to the group of mayors from around this country,” Hancock said at the start of the call. “In the unlikely event that you beat Denver, what are you offering?”

No word yet on whether Hancock has already collected on this year’s . Since the Jan. 12 in the divisional game, Hancock is owed California burritos, carne asada fries and catfish tacos.
