It’s quite possible to mistake for the latest David Lynch film, but the sextet made their national television debut on “The Late Show” with David Letterman on Friday.
The Floridian band has been touring behind the strength of the stellar EP, “Quiet Light,” released in September 2012. Friday’s debut displayed an earnest fiery performance worthy of “barn-burner” status with the finger pickin’ take of “Beggars’ Guild,” fully backed by a horn section and banjo. The Southern rock revival group brought the gospel with commanding execution that’s usually carried by acts with many years under their belts. Fan can catch the Choir on tour with Caveman next month.
