A person was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries early Saturday following a two-vehicle accident at Interstate 70 and Federal Boulevard, according to Denver police.
The name and current condition of the accident victim is not known.
Denver police closed westbound I-70 at Pecos for about an hour to clear the road and do an accident investigation. The highway was later reopened.
The accident happened in the westbound lanes of the highway around 2 a.m., according to a Denver police tweet.
