In the decade since Mark Zuckerberg, a student at Harvard, created what was then called Thefacebook.com, 1.23 billion people have signed up. That’s 17 percent of the world’s population.
Facebook, which finally turned a profit last year, has grown into a $150 billion company with more than 6,000 employees.
