Sweetheart Snowshoe
Vail Valley’s Sweetheart Snowshoe is Feb. 14 beginning at 5 p.m. The event is noncompetitive, and includes champagne, hot chocolate, light snacks and a silent aution. Registration is $40 per individual or $75 for a two-person team. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snowshoes.
Romp to Stomp
The Colorado Romp to Stomp in Frisco is March 1. The event raises money for the Denver Metropolitan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen, and features family 3K or 5K Snowshoe Walks, a 3K Snowshoe Race, a Lil Romper Dash, giveaways and more.
Gumbo cookoff
The Mumbo Jumbo Gumbo Cookoff and Carnivale Parade in Manitou Springs is March 1. Gumbo cooking begins at 8 a.m., followed by judging at 10:45 a.m., parade at 12:30 p.m. and public tastings until 1 p.m. Tastings are two for $1, with ticket sales ending at 12:30 p.m. Winners receive cash prizes and trophies.
Breck Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras in Breckenridge is March 1-3, with a parade and a Mardi Gras ball.
