Police investigating car crash. On Feb. 10, officers from Edgewater, Lakewood and Denver responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision at 17th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard in which a vehicle collided into a light pole. The 21-year-old driver of the vehicle and the sole occupant sustained major life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she remains hospitalized. The investigation is continuing.

Robbery. Officers responded to a residence on the 2800 block of Kendall Street on Feb. 10 regarding a report of a robbery. According to the victims, three suspects wearing masks and armed with batons and a Taser forced their way into the residence and stole personal property from the victims. The victims sustained minor injuries.

Church break-in. Sometime between Feb. 7 and Feb. 8, unknown suspects forcibly entered the basement of the Vietnamese Baptist Church at 6400 W. 26th Ave. Although a door was damaged and a frozen water pipe burst due to the open door and cold weather, no property was stolen from the church.

Stolen car recovered. On Feb. 7, officers recovered a stolen vehicle in the alley between Harlan and Ingalls streets and 26th Avenue. The vehicle was a 2004 Dodge Neon reported stolen in Littleton. Several stolen vehicles have been recovered recently in the same area.

Shoplifter. On Feb. 5, officers responded to King Soopers, 1985 Sheridan Blvd., where a 21-year-old Edgewater man was issued a summons for shoplifting $38 of merchandise from the store.
