COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Officials say an eighth grade student was pronounced dead after he was found lying unconscious on the floor of a bathroom at Carson Middle School in Colorado Springs.
The Denver Post reports ( ) the boy, whose name has not been released, was found just after noon Friday. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Fort Carson and school officials have not said how the boy died.
Counselors will be available to speak to students and teachers about the death.
