Cycloramic, an innovative iPhone app that allows users to shoot hands-free panoramic photos and videos, shot to the top of the Apple iTunes paid apps chart following a recent appearance on the TV show “Shark Tank,” which netted a $500,000 investment from Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner. I tested the app on an iPhone 5, and it works as advertised, though with an occasional hitch. The app uses the iPhone’s vibrations to automatically rotate 360 degrees while capturing images. The phone needs to be placed on a flat surface and does get stuck at times. As of last week, the pro version of the app was on sale for $2, which is $1 off regular price. — Andy Vuong, The Denver Post
