Colorado Springs City Council is expected to discuss a possible $171,000 raise for Colorado Springs Utilities CEO Jerry Forte at its work session at 1 p.m. Monday, councilwoman Jan Martin said Monday.
Forte’s base salary is $276,750 a year. Under the proposal, his base salary would increase to $447,000.
The proposed base salary increase does not include annual performance incentives, which have been about $60,000 a year for the past few years but would change to $25,000 a year for the next two years, Martin said.
The proposal to raise Forte’ salary also would include putting $26,400 a year into a savings account to be taken out when he retires for medical insurance costs, she said.
