
Vehicular eluding. On Feb. 11, patrol responded to a call of a car theft victim following his stolen vehicle in the area of West 55th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard. A patrol officer located and began following the truck into a parking lot, drew his firearm and ordered the driver to get out of the vehicle. The driver almost ran over the officer as he left the parking lot. The suspect could not be located.
Suspicious loitering. On Feb. 6, police were called to the Shell gas station at 5350 Wadsworth Blvd. Two individuals were asking customers for money in the parking lot. A consensual search found no drugs on one suspect and both were asked to leave the property.
Suspicious incident. On Feb. 7, police were called on a report of a possible phone theft. The reporting party told police he had purchased a used iPhone and, when activated, text messages appeared indicating the phone was stolen. A serial number check showed the phone had not been reported stolen.
Break table ruined. On Feb. 10, police were called to King Soopers, 6350 Sheridan Blvd., on a report of a man who dumped approximately two gallons of gasoline on an employee break table before leaving the area. A video tape of the incident failed to identify the suspect.
Hit and run. On Feb. 11, police were dispatched to a hit and run at 58th Avenue and Balsam Street. The calling party reported having his vehicle sideswiped by a white pick-up truck. The driver refused to exchange information with the victim, and was issued a summons.
