City vehicle egged. Golden police received a report Feb. 12 that a vehicle owned by the Golden Planning Department, 1445 10th St., appeared to have eggs broken on the hood, roof and trunk. The eggs were washed off.

Apathetic stoner. Golden police approached a running, occupied vehicle parked in front of Golden Public Library, 1019 10th St., at around 12:55 a.m. Feb. 11. The driver did not immediately stop playing a game on his cellphone when he rolled down the window, and told the officer he had just “smoked a bowl” when asked about the smell of burnt marijuana. The driver was cooperative and receptive and was not charged, though his employer was notified.

Graffiti is a hoot. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies went to the 25700 block of Conifer Road, Conifer, on Feb. 13 after graffiti of a green-and-black owl was found on a building’s rooftop vent.

Unsettling rec center visitor. Evergreen Parks and Recreation contacted deputies to report that a homeless man who had been showering daily at the Wulf Recreation Center, 5300 S. Olive Road, Evergreen, and was making employees uncomfortable. They believed he was sleeping in his vehicle in the parking lot, which is not allowed.

Man receives threatening mailing. On Feb. 15, a man living in the 6100 block of Willowbrook Drive in the Morrison area, called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies to report that he was mailed a printout of an article about Obamacare. The man, who said he was a physician and an Obama supporter, said the word “move” was written across the top of the page and found it threatening.
