Rick Ross has long been after a photo surfaced of the rapper clad in his corrections officer uniform. Typically, Ross responds in ambiguous fashion, stating everything in his rhymes contains the truth. This morning on Sway’s radio show, however, the MC changed his tune and opened up about the real truth in his rhymes.

Ross’ latest album “Mastermind” was released earlier this week and there’s one track in particular that stands out. “Rich is Gangsta” opens the album with Rick Ross speaking openly about the dissolution of his drug team, indictments and tough decisions that led to where he is today.

He briefly touches on the reality of being a corrections officer and the heat he takes from the rap community for doing so.
