ASPEN, Colo.—Aspen Skiing Co. says a 54-year-old German snowboarder has died after he hit a tree at the Snowmass ski area.
The Aspen Daily News reports ( ) the man, whose name has not been released, hit the tree on the Gunner’s View trail at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Aspen Skiing Co. did not say where in Germany the man was from. He was wearing a helmet when he crashed.
