A 25-year-old man was charged with sexual assault Thursday after a DNA match linked him to a 2010 cold case.
Joseph Baca was charged with one count of sexual assault on a child, according to a news release from the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
The charge stems from an incident in April 2010 when Baca allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl who he met in downtown, according to the release.
Baca’s bond was set at $50,000.
He will appear in Denver court April 16 for a preliminary hearing.
