Fans of Chick-fil-A have a chance to win a year’s supply of food from the restaurant chain when a new location opens in Greenwood Village on Thursday
Owner and operator Craig Goettsche will be awarding a one-year supply of Chick-fil-A meals to the first 100 people, 18 years or older with proper identification, in line at 6 a.m. Thursday at the new location at 9331 E. Arapahoe Road. That’s 52 meals of a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, medium waffle fries and a medium drink — more than $30,000 in free food. The restaurant will open for business for the first time at 6 a.m.
If there are more than 100 people in line at 6 a.m. Wednesday , there will be a drawing. Those who are selected must camp out to keep their spot.
Goettsche also will host a food drive in partnership with the Covenant Cupboard Food Pantry from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday. Those who drop off five or more non-perishable food items will get a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich. The person in line for the free meals for a year who brings in the most food donations will receive an extra prize.
According to Chick-fil-A representatives, the new Greenwood Village store will bring 80 new jobs. It is the third location to open in Colorado in four consecutive weeks, including Highlands Ranch, which opened March 20; Greeley, which opened March 27; and Lakewood, which opens April 10.
The new Greenwood Village location will operate from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
