BOULDER — The Boulder County district attorney’s office filed attempted-murder charges Monday afternoon against two teens accused of beating a developmentally disabled man during a robbery.
A prosecutor said the 30-year-old victim, Aaron Tuneberg, is not expected to survive.
Tuneberg suffered serious head injuries after police said he was beaten unconscious with a bat and golf club at his apartment during the theft of an Xbox video-game console.
Austin Holford and Luke Pelham, both 18, were charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault on an at-risk victim, aggravated robbery and first-degree burglary.
