
Illegal napping. Police were called to the Family Dollar Store, 9410 Federal Blvd., Denver, because a man was sleeping on the ground. An officer was driving the man to a shelter when the man verbally threatened the officer March 25. He was taken to the police station and booked instead.
Dented door. A woman called police to her home in the 9100 block of Fontaine Street in Federal Heights on March 25 because she believed that someone ran their bicycle into her car.
Not a campground. The manager of Safeway, 10300 Federal Blvd., Federal Heights, called police March 25 because a man slept in his mobile camper in the parking lot all night. The man said no one told him that he couldn’t park there. Police gave him a ticket for illegal camping.
Aggressive job hunt. An employee of Platinum 84, 8485 Umatilla St., Federal Heights, called police to have a woman removed from the bar March 22. The woman was reportedly bothering customers and refusing to leave unless the manager gave her a job. She was arrested.
Movie drop. Loss prevention employees at Safeway, 10300 Federal Blvd., Federal Heights, called police when two men attempted to steal nearly $400 worth of DVDs March 21. The suspects dropped the DVDs to avoid getting caught and ran into a neighborhood. One of the suspects was later apprehended.
Purse snatcher. A woman called police March 15 as she was chasing another woman who stole her purse from Walmart, 9901 Grant St., Thornton. The woman caught the suspect nearby and police arrived and arrested her.
