BOULDER — Boulder County District Attorney Stan Garnett filed first-degree murder charges Tuesday afternoon against the two teens accused of beating a developmentally disabled Boulder man with a baseball bat and golf club during a robbery last week.
The victim, Aaron Tuneberg, 30, died from his injuries Tuesday morning.
Austin Holford and Luke Pelham, both 18, each are now charged with first-degree felony murder and second-degree murder with a deadly weapon.
The first-degree murder charges were filed under the felony murder rule, which allows prosecutors to charge suspects with first-degree murder when a person is killed during the commission of another felony.
