
Car keys thrown on roof. A woman called Denver Police on March 30 after her boss threw her car keys on the roof of Mike’s Tavern, 2301 S. Broadway St. The woman told police that she dropped her keys on the way to her car, at which point her boss grabbed them and threw them on the roof, saying she was too drunk. The officer asked the suspect to retrieve the keys, but he didn’t have a ladder. Denver Fire responded and retrieved the keys, but the car key was not there on her key ring.
IRS windows shot out. Denver Police responded to some criminal mischief March 31 at the IRS office, 1999 Broadway St. The reporting party told police that two of the windows were shot out with a BB gun, causing the glass to shatter. There were no suspects.
Keg Liquors suffers break-in; alcohol stolen. On March 27, Denver Police responded to a burglary at Keg Liquors, 2860 S. Colorado Blvd. Police learned that a rock was used to break the front glass of the building. The suspects then stole liquor and tried to take the cash register, but left it.
Panhandler arrested. A man was arrested March 26 for panhandling near the westbound entrance to Interstate 70 on Federal Boulevard. Denver Police arrested the man, who was next to a clearly-marked no trespassing sign.
Suspect trespassed from Cherry Creek Mall. A man was cited March 28 after he was asked to leave the Cherry Creek Mall, 3000 E. First Ave., by mall security. After he was escorted out of the mall, security saw him later at the Apple Store and called Denver Police.
